Boat Trip to Comino Caves incl. Blue Lagoon & Santa Maria Bay"Fantastic boat tour, especially for the price – absolutely recommended! I was initially worried about whether it would work with a baby and toddler, but it was really no problem at all. The only downside was the stop at the Blue Lagoon. I would recommend a boat tour to other locations. As you can read in other reviews, the place is quite crowded. That's a complete understatement. Even though we were there in the off-season, and you even have to make a reservation to access the bay to avoid overcrowding, you're still shoving your way through the throngs of people on narrow paths, past food stalls. There's nothing romantic about the bay. However, the stop is very short, and you could simply stay on the boat and admire the beautiful water or go for a swim (highly recommended). There was supposed to be a snack bar, there wasn't. The drinks available had to be paid for with cash. We only had card. The staff were rude and told us we should read the ticket as it had said this was the case. We checked, it didn't... We dutifully got there 30 minutes early, as requested, and had to stand, with no shade, for the whole of that time while they loaded the boat with drinks. Similarly we got back at the alloted time in Gozo and had to wait in the sun as the boat wasn't there when it should have been. The captain said he would give us all the information about what we were passing on the way back. He didn't. All in all this trip didn't live up to the expectations or the other reviews. The ship wasn't crowded today, June 23. The crew was very courteous and helpful. The prices at the bar were decent, unlike other boat trips I've taken. Afterwards, they assault you with water and a sandwich. Fair prices."
