Learn to ski in Les Arcs
The ski resort in Les Arcs is located in the French Savoy, on the northern side of the Vanoise mountain range. The resort lies between the Bellecote and Aiguille Rouge mountains, flanked by the La Chiaupe and Varet glaciers. Les Arcs encompasses 4 villages - Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950, Arc 2000 - each with its own individual character.
The Les Arcs ski resort consists of 200km of pistes. With 3 green, 64 blue, 40 red and 17 black runs, Les Arcs has plenty of slopes for all levels. However, together with the neighbouring ski resorts of La Plagne and Pesey-Vallandry, Les Arcs forms the second largest ski area in France, Paradiski: The Paradiski area extends over 425km of pistes with varying terrain, including powder areas.
Geneva and Lyon St. Exupery airports are within 3 hours’ drive from Les Arcs. Additionally, the resort can be easily reached by train, the Eurostar station Bourg-St-Maurice being only a short funicular ride from Arc 1600. From Arc 1600, numerous bus shuttles transfer visitors to the other 3 Arc villages.
