A superb experience! The places we visited were magnificent, and it was worth paying a little extra to experience it away from the hordes of tourists disgorged by the large cruise ships. Balos is very crowded, but in Gramvousa, you arrive before everyone else, so you can really enjoy it.

Our family had a wonderful time on this boat trip. Our guide Elli was kind, helpful, and full of information about our destinations. Balos Lagoon was gorgeous with calm, crystal clear water. Our kids (ages 6 and 7) loved seeing kri kri up close and personal on the beach. Snorkeling around the shipwreck just off of Gramvousa was another highlight. When our younger son decided he didn’t want to snorkel with the rest of the family, Elli kept him happy and entertained on the boat. We’d highly recommend this boat tour!

Quality Travel Crete is a great company to book through. They are helpful and informative. The trip itself is a must do. Both places are incredibly beautiful. It was a bumpy boat ride so if you get a little sea sick, just be aware to take medication. The boat was also busy so get on it earlier to secure a seat, especially when sitting upstairs. We would love to do this again in a quieter season to enjoy the islands a bit more but the scenery is really breath taking.
