Details
Let your dream of flying come true! The basic paragliding course is the first step on the way to becoming an independent paraglider pilot. Under the guidance of experienced flight instructors, you will experience fast learning success and worry-free flying fun. You'll be surprised how fast you learn to fly on your own.
Course programme
The meeting point for the course is the flight school in Moosheim (free parking available), where you will receive a theoretical introduction first. You find a free car park on site. Then you start with the first exercises at the training area. In the basic course, you will learn the complete take-off procedure, the turning flight as well as landing patterns and the landing procedure. The training slope is ideal for beginners, and you are in constant radio contact with your instructor. Soon you will be able to make your first high-altitude flights with more than 400 m difference in altitude from Michaelerberg. The theoretical lessons take place in the training rooms of the flight school and cover the topics meteorology, aerodynamics, equipment and air law. One afternoon during the week of the course, you have free time to take part in a tandem flight or a rafting tour, for example. After the basic course, you will be ready for high flight training.
