Details
If you like waterfalls and you're up for a challenge, you can't miss our via ferrata Cascata starting from the town of Ballino, near Lake Garda. This short via ferrata is quite challenging, but you will be surrounded by nature and accompanied by the relaxing sound of the Rio Ruzza waterfall. Once on top, the view will surely be a great reward for your efforts.
Tour programme
- Preparation:
When you arrive at the car park in Ballino, you will meet your certified guide, who will give you the necessary equipment. Before starting the activity, you will receive an introduction that will prepare you for the climb. This activity is done with a maximum of 6 people per group.
- Tour:
From Ballino we walk for 30 minutes to the beginning of the via ferrata, and we start climbing up next to the waterfall. The route is secured with many clamps and a wire bridge that lead to a Tibetan bridge which allows us to cross the waterfall basin. From here, the difficulty level increases, and we climb up a long vertical rock next to the waterfall. The steep waterfall wall has been equipped with numerous metal rungs, that sometimes are replaced by footholds cut into the rock, so that it seems to be a long ladder going up to the edge of the waterfall. At the top, the waterfall is crossed twice spectacularly with two Tibetan bridges.
- Return:
We will walk downhill for around 30 minutes through a path in the forest to return to Ballino. If you wish, you can change at our main office in Via Provinciale 1, 25010 Tremosine (BS).
