Good ski instructors. Small groups. Good ski area.
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
This course is for advanced young skiers from 4 to 12 years old who want to improve their existing skills and learn advanced techniques like carving.
You can book lunch supervision and a meal for an additional €18 per day. If you do not book this, you must pick up your child during the lunch break.
Yes, the highlight of the week is the ski race, which takes place every Friday. Afterwards, there is a ceremony where every child receives a medal or a trophy.
The meeting point is at the Steffisalp valley station. Please be there 20 minutes before the start of the lessons.
The course duration depends on the number of participants. With 4 or more participants, the course lasts 4 hours. With 3 participants it is 3 hours, with 2 it is 2 hours, and with 1 participant it is 1 hour.
