Details
Experience the thrill of snowboarding with our lessons for all levels in Formigal! In the mountains of Aragón, anyone from the age of 14 can join our lessons, no matter if you are a beginner or already have some moves. Our qualified and professionally trained snowboard instructors guide through your first steps, and form smaller groups depending on your level to optimize training and everyone's learning pace.
As a beginner, together with other students, you start on flat and broad pistes. Your instructor will teach you the basics: how to get in and out of your board, skate, glide and learning some essential movements on snow. This way you will master first curves and quickly move on to other fun and more challenging techniques. If you already have some confidence on your board, our instructors can teach you many advanced skills such as tilt, twists, or pivot. For the last part of the lesson, there will be a slalom race where everyone can show off their snowboarding skills. The best of each skill level, will be rewarded with a medal to bring back home!
Meeting Time
On the first day, we meet about 1 hour before the start of the course to form groups according to your level.
Please note that if you book a weekend course, the schedules will be the following: Saturday from 12:00 to 15:00 and Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00.
Ski pass
All snowboarders need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.
My cousins had two 3-hour lessons. They learned to stand up and get off the chairlift, Fernando, but during the entire 6-hour lesson, they didn't go on the chairlift at any point. They spent the whole time walking up a hill on their own, so they ended up exhausted and wanting the lesson to be over as soon as possible. Once the lesson was over, we took them on the chairlift, and going down with us, they learned much more than they had in the lesson and finally enjoyed it.
