Learn how to ski with a state-certified private ski instructor in Chamonix.
Our ski school welcomes in the private ski lessons for adults, skiers of all levels. We offer a tailored-made ski program according to your needs and wishes. The main focus lies of course on improving your current skiing technique.
Your private ski instructor will analyse your skiing skills and give you valuable ski tips. The big advantage of private ski lessons is the full attention focused on your parallel skiing skills.
Meeting point
Important: the meeting point is different according to your level. The two meeting points are 2 km apart.
For beginners: At our chalet at the "Stade de Neige" in La Poya, next to the train station Le Buet.
For advanced skiers: At our office, next to the Vallorcine gondola bottom station (next to the Vallorcine train station).
Meeting time
We meet 10 minutes before the start of the lesson at the meeting point corresponding to your level.
Ski pass
All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

We had three excellent private 2 hour lessons with Remy at Vallorcine’s La Poya base. It is the perfect place to learn with a variety of gentle slopes and not too crowded. All the ESF instructors were very friendly and encouraging, and Remy took me in just six hours from a total beginner to skiing down the slope by myself (albeit nervously!). He also helped my step-daughter, who already had some experience, to build her confidence and move onto steeper runs. The base at La Poya has a relaxed and friendly vibe and is an scenic 20 minute drive from the centre of Chamonix. If you don’t have a car it’s an easy train ride with a station right at the base.
