Details

Experience the supreme discipline of ballooning up close and personal during an Alpine crossing! An unforgettable adventure awaits you, during which you will enjoy absolute tranquillity high above the majestic peaks of the Alps. Even for the experienced balloon pilot at your side, this particularly long flight is the highlight of the winter.

Since a crossing of the Alps can only take place in particular weather conditions between November and February, you should be flexible to enjoy this unique flight and you should plan to spend at least the whole day.

Meeting point & take-off area
Depending on wind and weather conditions we choose a suitable starting point in Austria or Germany, for example in Seefeld or near the lake Achensee.
As soon as we know if the trip can take place (about 3-4 days before), we will contact you to arrange the exact meeting point and discuss all details. Depending on where you come from, we can meet directly in the starting area or around our home base in Brunico. If you wish, we can also organize an overnight stay in the starting area.

Ride programme
- Before take-off:
We meet at the agreed time at the meeting point, which we will arrange with you personally a few days before the trip. As soon as we arrive at the take-off site, you are welcome to help with the preparation of the balloon and learn more about ballooning. Afterwards, you will climb into the basket together with the pilot and get ready for take-off.
- During the ride:
On the way across the Alps and the Dolomites, the hot air balloon reaches altitudes between 3000 and 5000 meters and you can enjoy the breathtaking view high above the snowy peaks. Of course, you can take as many photos as you want to capture the experience for eternity. The crossing of the Alps takes about 4 hours, depending on wind speeds.
- After landing:
Depending on the wind direction we land somewhere between Verona and Venice. At the landing site we meet the ground team, pack the balloon back up and of course toast to the successful crossing of the Alps with prosecco. After that, we take you back to our initial meeting point.
