Balloon Ride - Allgäu

A balloon ride over the Allgäu in the morning offers you an ideal start to an unforgettable day. The balloon calmly floats over the green, peaceful landscape, which is lit up with a magical glow by the first rays of the sun. Perhaps you will even experience the enchanting sunrise over the Grünten, which is also called "Watcher of the Allgäu" due to its prominent location on the edge of the Alps.

Take-off area
We have different take-off spots around Sonthofen and Kempten, from which we choose the best according to wind and weather conditions.
The Allgäu is known as one of the most picturesque regions of Germany, so prepare for gorgeous views of the green hills and clear lakes from above, with the majestic peaks of the Alps in the background.

Ride programme
- Before take-off:
We meet at the agreed time at Landhotel Bauer in Sonthofen. Here you are greeted by us and we make our way to the starting point of the day. Once there, you receive a safety briefing before we prepare the balloon for the flight together as a team. While setting up the balloon you already learn a lot about the balloonists' secrets. As soon as the balloon is ready, we climb into the basket and the ride can begin.
- During the ride:
During the trip, you are standing in the basket and can enjoy the great view over the Allgäu. Of course, you can also take pictures of the landscape and your fellow travellers which will remind you of this unique experience for a long time to come. After about 1.5 hours we will land on a suitable meadow.
- After landing:
At the landing site, we are already expected by the ground crew with their offroad vehicles. After packing up the balloon they will take you back to the starting point at Landhotel Bauer. As a final highlight, the traditional balloonist "baptism" awaits you, where you will be raised to the nobility of balloonists and receive a certificate for your first successful balloon flight.
