Experience the best waves and meet the most professional and friendly instructors in Algarve! The Surf Experience has been teaching how to surf since 1996 and has proudly helped many beginners to start their surfing adventure and also advanced surfers to polish their technique. This surf training is a great opportunity for everyone to explore the long beaches on the Portuguese coast, as well as the blue ocean and its famous waves. In one group is a maximum of 8 participants for the better teaching results. We ensure that with our coaches you will surf in the safe and supportive environment, get to know surf tricks and the beauty of Algarve's nature. Come and surf with us!
Meeting & Preparation
We meet 15 minutes prior to the start time at our surf base - Vila Catarina in Funchal, Lagos. In case you are staying in Lagos, Luz or Burgau we can pick you up free of charge 15 minutes before the activity begins. Once at the base, we brief you about safety at sea and you receive equipment. From there we head in the van to one of the many beaches on the south or west coast. The decision to which beach we will go to is made in the morning, according to the tides, your level experience and our surfers' knowledge. Our trip is split into 3 parts: first 1,5h surf session, lunch break and second 1,5h surf session. During the break, you can enjoy lunch on the sand with your friendly instructors.

Wonderful experience - surfed for 2 days in Sagres (Western Algarve). Great Fun! The surf instructors were super helpful and patient. Got collected from my hotel each morning which pas great. They took us to scenic points at the end of each day. Was a solo surfer and they made me feel very welcome:)
