Get ready for the most extraordinary museum you'll ever see. Jason de Caires Taylor opens a whole new underwater world to diving enthusiasts. On an area of 2,500 square metres, there are more than 300 stone figures in which numerous sea creatures have settled over the years, thus creating an indescribable sight. Everyone who owns the Open Water Diver Certificate can participate in this magical dive. A total of 2 dives await you: one in "Las Coloradas" and then we dive into the underwater museum, where you dive up to 14 meters into the depth. We are looking forward to an adventurous day with you!
First, we will dive at "Playa de las Coloradas", where you will get a taste of the breathtaking sea world of Lanzarote. During your dive, you can expect huge shoals of fish, crystal clear sea water, rugged underwater landscapes and a variety of colors. After about 45 minutes we return to the beach, where we change the tanks and dive into the extraordinary underwater museum. 14 meters below the surface, handmade sculptures in body size are waiting for you. This creates an amazing feeling that you will remember forever.
- Meeting & Preparation:
We meet punctually at the booked time in our base, where you get to know your guide, and also we take the chance to get to know you. Afterwards, you will get a short safety briefing, so that you are prepared for upcoming events. Afterwards, we will hand you the equipment if it has been booked. You can change your clothes in one of our changing rooms and your personal belongings can be stored in lockers. Shortly afterward we will head to the coast, where we will get on our boat and drive to the first dive site.
Arrived at the beach "Playa de la Colorada" we can dive immediately and admire the breathtaking underwater world of Lanzarote. Although this is a sandy beach, we find numerous colored rocks in the sea. In the water, we can look forward to moray eels, tunas, crabs, snails, starfish, and squid, but also the variety of plants underwater is more than impressive. After about 45 minutes in the water, we return to our boat, which takes us back to the base, where the oxygen bottles are exchanged, and we can then start the journey to the underwater museum. Here you can admire more than 300 concrete sculptures in real size, which will surely create an extraordinary, uncanny experience.
After another 45 minutes, we return to the boat with which we drive to our base. Here you hand in your equipment and get the opportunity to take a shower. Afterwards, you can relax and talk about the impressions you made on this unforgettable adventure.
