Tour programme
- Departure:
We meet at the Marina of Vila Franca do Campo at the booked time. We brief you about safety on board and your guide gives you an introduction to Cetacean (whales and dolphins) local species, as well as their habitat, behaviour and migration. Then we head to the boat together with your guide for the tour and the skipper.
- Tour:
Once on the boat, we will get the location of the whales via VHF Radio from the inland lookout point. In this part of Atlantic Ocean live sperm whales alongside with tree additional dolphin and whales species. To watch the whales, we will slow down and the guide will tell you about the animals you will see at the time. We are happy to answer all your questions about maritime wildlife of Azores to feel free to ask them during the tour. Upon arrival to the marina, we will do a tour around Princess Ring Islet to have a closer look at its volcanic formations.
