If you're planning on coming to Zadar or are on holiday in the area, and have a whole day to spare, we have got the perfect activity for you: a full-day kayak tour at the beautiful local island of Dugi Otok! You'll experience everything your inner adventurer may desire: kayaking, swimming, snorkeling and even cave jumping! Furthermore, you'll have two guides (for a maximum of 12 participants) which means that if you want to split up into two groups, we can adapt the tour to your level.
Tour programme- Preparation:Our tour starts in
Brbinj, a small village on the coast of Dugi Otok (paid parking at the port). This means that you will have to take the
ferry from Zadar to Brbinj on your own. Bear in mind that on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the ferry's earliest departure is at 10 am. While the rest of the week, the ferry leaves at 8:00 am. We will let you know where exactly to meet us, and we will be waiting for all participants right at the ferry stop on the island. The ferry tickets are not included in the full-day tour to Dugi Otok, our team will let you know on site where to buy them.
- Tour:Once everyone has found us, we'll hop in our van and, after a short 10-minute drive, we'll arrive at
Brbišćica Bay. From there, we'll kayak to a nearby
sea cave in which you can swim or even cave jump if you're feeling brave enough! Afterwards, we'll paddle back to the bay and take a 30-minute drive to the northern part of the island. We'll stop near the
Veli Rat lighthouse and have
lunch at a restaurant, where you'll have all the time you need to eat and rest. As soon as everyone is ready to go, we'll go put the kayaks in the water again and paddle to our next stop: a
shipwreck! Here, you'll get to
snorkel around and explore the wreck. Our next and last stop of the day is
Sakarun Beach, which is only a 10-minute drive away from where we'll have had lunch. At this almost magical white sandy beach with a Caribbean flair to it, we'll have time to swim, snorkel or simply relax on the beach and play games.
- Return:After the tour ends, we will take you back to the ferry stop in Brbinj where you will take the ferry back to Zadar. The passengers taking the tours on
Tuesdays and Wednesdays, starting at 10:00 am, and from the 19th of July to the 25th of August can take the catamaran back to Zadar at the end of the activity.
