In the balloon basket, you will experience the Black Forest in the Baden-Baden region from a completely new perspective. While the balloon glides gently through the air, you can enjoy the calmness and feel free from all everyday problems. With your experienced balloon pilot at your side, this experience will become an unforgettable adventure for young and old.
Take-off area
Between the Black Forest and the Vosges, your balloon flight offers unique views. From a bird's eye view, you can see the Baden region with its green forests, rivers, lakes, vineyards and picturesque villages with half-timbered buildings. Sometimes we even cross the Rhine, which forms the border between Germany and France. On particularly clear days, you have an unobstructed view from Karlsruhe to Strasbourg.
Ride programme- Before take-off:
We meet at the agreed time at our balloon centre in Baden-Baden, where you can easily find a car park. Usually, the meeting point is in the morning at sunrise. As soon as you arrive, we will welcome you and give you a short introduction to the balloon ride. Then we take our busses to the starting point, which, depending on the conditions, is Baden-Baden, Rastatt, Achern or even Alsace. Before we take off, you may help the team to set up the balloon. This will give you a first insight into the world of ballooning.
- During the ride:
As soon as the balloon is ready, you climb into the basket and get ready to take off. Majestically, the huge balloon climbs higher and higher and the wind carries you over the idyllic landscape between the Black Forest and the Vosges. You can now enjoy the view and take pictures while your pilot shares interesting facts about the area and the art of ballooning. After 1 to 2hrs we will land on a suitable landing site.
- After landing:
At the landing site, the ground crew awaits us and we pack up the balloon again. With our vehicles, we return to the meeting point in Baden-Baden. Since a balloon ride makes you hungry, we prepare a small picnic for you. You will also receive the traditional balloonists christening, during which you will be declared counts and countesses.
