Maierl Gondola Valley Station
Well-organized ski school for all levels. Very friendly staff and excellent instructors who speak Dutch, English, and German. The school was also very flexible in offering lessons. My daughter can no longer ski due to a minor accident. The ski school staff provided excellent and professional assistance. The cost of my daughter's lessons was credited without any problems, and they easily converted my ski lessons into shorter private lessons. In short, highly recommended!
Our instructor was patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. We even got to see some parts of the mountain that were off the beaten track
Highly recommended so that you learn it correctly from the start.
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
Yes, these ski lessons are for adults of all levels. The course programme is tailored to your abilities, so beginners start on gentle slopes while advanced skiers tackle more demanding runs.
The course is perfectly tailored to your level. Beginners learn the basics on gentle slopes, while advanced skiers work on their carving skills on more demanding slopes.
The meeting point is at the ski school, directly at the Maierl 1 valley station. Please check in at the ski school office with your booking confirmation before the lesson starts.
If the minimum number of 4 participants is not reached, the lesson will either be converted to a private lesson (with a shorter duration or for a higher price) or cancelled if you are not interested.
The instructors are multilingual. Based on customer feedback, they speak at least Dutch, English and German.
