Kayak Lessons for Beginners - Río Turia

If you want to learn how to kayak, the Turia River is the perfect place to start. After the course with Valencia Adventure you will be able to go kayaking in the sea as well as in reservoirs or rivers. You'll learn about different types of kayaks, get to know important things about the equipment and discover important manoeuvres and paddling techniques. Get to know the most famous river of Valencia from a kayak, Valencia Adventure is looking forward to seeing you!

Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet 5 minutes before the start of the course in our base, where you can also park your car. Here you will get to know your kayak instructor. In the beginning, you will have a short theory session, so that you are prepared for your future practice. Afterwards, we go to our starting point at the river, where we hand out the equipment and explain it. Then we can already start!
- Tour:
In the water, you will learn various manoeuvres, paddling techniques, counter paddling, stopping, rollovers and steering. You will also learn how to assess different currents and rapids and how to behave in emergency situations.
- Arrival:
After the course, you arrive back at our base, where you drop off your equipment and get to your cars.
