Shark Cage Diving in Mossel Bay

Join us on a one-of-a-kind shark cage diving tour in Mossel Bay and witness this fascinating, majestic and powerful creature in its natural habitat. Climb inside the cage, dive underwater and confront the Great White face to face. In the process, you'll learn all about why this creature is often misunderstood and why it is important to protect it. There's no doubt this will be an experience of a lifetime.

Area
Mossel Bay is the perfect spot for our white shark cage diving experience as it is abundant with marine wildlife including all sorts of fish, seals, whales, dolphins and of course great white sharks that are easily accessible. Furthermore, the bay is relatively protected, meaning the sea conditions are typically quite calm.

Programme
- Meeting & Preparation:
We meet at our office at the agreed-upon time where we will have a chat about what to expect and brief you on all things safety. Once we're on the boat, we will provide you with all the necessary diving equipment and show you how to use it.
- Trip:
The boat trip from the harbour to the shark site takes around about 10 minutes. If we're lucky, we might spot some dolphins along the way too. Once we arrive at the site, we will brief you again on the cage and how to conduct yourself underwater. We attract sharks using baits and chum. It can take anywhere between a couple of minutes to several hours for a shark to show up and shark sightings are highly likely. Once a shark is close to the boat, the cage will be submerged into the water and diving can begin. If you do not wish to get into the cage, you're welcome to watch from the boat's viewing platform as well.
- Return:
At the end of the shark cage diving experience, we take the boat back to the harbour where you're welcome to enjoy some afternoon tea.
