Dog Sledding near Trondheim in Kopperå - Half Day Tour

Join our husky tour and get the chance to try out dog sledding near Trondheim. As you mush your team of Alaskan Huskies, you will pass through the magical, snow-covered forest and mountain landscape of Kopperå. Breathe in the cold air as you discover untouched nature and become one with your four-legged companions.

During your half-day dog sledding near Trondheim, our experienced guides lead the way and are always at your side with helpful tips on how to handle the sled. We want to give you a real dog sledding experience, which is why you are welcome to help taking care of the dogs before and after the husky tour.

Tour programme
- Meeting point:
At the arranged time we meet at our kennel in Kopperå, about 60 kilometres from Trondheim Airport Værnes. If you arrive by bus or train we can also arrange a pick-up from the station in Meråker or Kopperå. Once you get here, our experienced dog sledding guides give you a brief introduction on safety, explain how to prepare the dog team and steer the sled. Now you are invited to help getting the dogs ready for your adventure that is dog sledding near Trondheim.
- Tour:
As soon as everybody is ready, we set off on our adventure that takes us through the magical winter wonderland around Meråker and Kopperå. The route for our husky tour is about 10 kilometres long and will take us approximately 1 hour. You share the sled with a second person and can switch between sitting and mushing your team of 4 to 6 huskies. After the tour, we take the dogs back to their kennel and remove their harnesses before we warm up by the fire with some hot drinks and cake.
