Seal Snorkeling in Cape Town in Summer

Join Cape Town Bucketlist for a unique seal snorkelling experience in South Africa around Cape Town's beautiful coastal port of Hout Bay. On this trip you will get to swim with and around the cute and friendly Cape Fur Seals, who live in a large colony around the beautiful island off the coast of Cape Town known as Duiker Island. Alongside the seal snorkelling experience with these beautiful creatures known as the puppies of the sea, you'll also come across the beautiful coastal beaches and mountains around Hout Bay, which are known for their breathtaking beauty.

On our Seal Snorkeling trip, you'll also be able to observe the incredible wildlife in and around Cape Town's Hout Bay waters and the nearby islands, all without any extensive training and without any other prior skill other than knowing how to swim. Programme
- Meeting Point:
Captain Jacks booking office in Hout Bay Harbour, Harbour Rd, Hout Bay, Cape Town, 7806.
-Preparation:
- We'll firstly introduce you to our team who will explain the programme.
- You will then go on to fit on your wetsuits and choose the right snorkel.
- We'll then put you through a short training session after which we will head to our boat on the peer.
- We will then head to the diving spot by boat. The diving spot is about a 15 minute boat ride away from the port, more specifically at Duiker Island.
- The actual activity itself lasts about 1 hour, where you'll enter the water and swim around with these beautiful creatures who are very friendly and will have no problem swimming in close proximity to you which is perfect for great picture opportunities.
- Return:
- After having spent around an hour with seals, we then return to Hout Bay the way we came (approx. 20 mins).
