Husky Sledding in Geilo - 5 km

Get a glimpse of the life of the real huskies, get to know their owners who are professional racers and, most importantly, try Geilo dog sledding! We are proud to work with professionals who have their dogs and dog sledding is their passion from which they make living.

This Husky tour has an approximate distance of 5 kilometres and allows 2 people on each sledge to try mushing and manoeuvring the way with the dogs. Previous experience is not required but if you have already skied before, you will find dog sledding easy. See you soon in the huskies paradise!

Tour programme
- Meeting point:
We meet 10 minutes before the booked time in Geilo Husky camp in Vestlia, our base is around 50 meters down in the forest from the main road. The parking is located by the red house in Bakkestølvegen 56.
- Tour:
Our Geilo dog sledding tour begins with the introduction from the husky guides who explain how to correctly mush a sledge. On every sledge, there's space for 2 people and each of them has the chance to mush on its own and swap with the second person halfway through the ride. After 20-25 minutes the sledding is over and there's time to play with the dogs, taste some local snacks, have hot drinks by the fire and learn more about the life of our huskies.
