Skydiving in Bay of Islands - 16,500 ft or 20,000 ft

Skydiving in Bay of Islands will let you witness its golden beaches, its green countryside and its turquoise water, by falling freely during this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

From the Bay of Islands Airport, you will soon fly over and discover the Northen Island from a unique point of view. We are certified to the highest standard by New Zealand’s Civil Aviation Authority, our skydiving offers are amongst the safest and most highly regulated. You will free fall at a speed of up to 200 km per hour, we promise you will not forget skydiving in Bay of Islands easily. If you choose to jump from 20,000 ft you will experience one of the highest skydives in New Zealand!

Programme
- Meeting and preparation:
We meet at our base at the Bay of Islands Airport 10 minutes before the booked time or we can arrange a pick-up in the Paihia area after completed booking. Before taking off you will get to know the Skydive Bay of Islands crew. During a 20 minutes safety briefing our tandem master will explain to you every part of the upcoming activity. After the briefing, you will be ready to get on our Cessna Caravan plane, take-off and start your adventure. Come and see for yourself why skydiving in Bay of Islands is on so many people's bucket list!
- Flight and jump:
The plane ride lasts around 20 minutes. Before reaching the altitude you booked, our master will do the final safety check and will get you ready to jump! Once the door of the plane opens your true skydiving in Bay of Islands adventure! You will be free falling for 70 or 85 seconds depending on the chosen option, reaching speeds of up to 200 km per hour before the skydive master deploys the parachute. You can now enjoy the view from up in the clouds before landing back at the dropzone or at one of the alternative landing areas.
- Landing and return:
The panorama flight lasts 5-7 minutes. After the flight, our tandem master will instruct you how to land softly on the ground. You will soon dream about skydiving in Bay of Islands again. Depending on the weather, we can land back at the airport, at Waitangi Treaty Grounds or at Paihia beach. In case we do not land back at the airport a transfer to the take-off point is included.
