The PADI Open Water Diver course in Umkomaas is a perfect introduction into the world of scuba diving. No prior experience is needed. Only a thirst to explore the mysteries that lie beneath the sea. During the course of the programme, you will have the opportunity to dive at Aliwal Shoal, one of the world's best dive sites made up of a beautiful coral reef bustling with diverse marine wildlife. If you choose the eLearning option, we will send you the access details to the online study programme which you will complete before the start date of your course. On the first day of your course, just come down to the dive centre and show us the confirmation slip you received from the eLearning platform to show us that you have successfully completed the theoretical part of the PADI Open Water Diver course. Then, you can move straight on to the practical part of your scuba diving experience.- On-site theory lecture:
If you choose the option to take the theoretical course on-site, you will learn all about scuba diving theory in a classroom setting at the dive centre with one of our instructors. -Kick-off:
In both cases, we will meet at the dive centre, at the agreed-upon time, check you in and have you fill out the necessary paperwork, including the PADI Medical Statement. When it gets to your first practical diving sessions in the pool, we will provide you with all the rental equipment you need. The exact schedule of your course is set individually, based on your progress with the theoretical part of the course and on how much time you have to spare during the following days. We will discuss this on your first day at the dive centre.
