Tandem Skydive in Taupo - 12,000 ft

Programme
- Meeting and preparation:
We meet either at our office at Taupo Airport 10 minutes before the booked time or we arrange a pick-up for you from Taupo 20 minutes before the start time (Rotorua pickup is available daily at 12.30pm returning back at 5pm. Please email to book this option). Once at the destination, you fill in the necessary paperwork and get to know your tandem master. You can also leave your personal belongings in one of the lockers in the office. Then, you learn about the details of your skydive during the theoretical part of the preparation as well as review the functions and usage of skydive equipment. Next, it is the time to head to the plane!
- Flight and jump:
First, you experience a very relaxing scenic plane ride up to 12,000ft. From the plane, you have a breathtaking view over Lake Taupo which is the biggest lake in the Southern Hemisphere. At the moment, you reach the desired altitude, the door opens and you sit on the edge of the plane in a full harness with your tandem master behind you and attached to you. When you jump, you feel the fresh air on your face and adrenaline in your veins. With the speed up to 200km/h, you experience a freefall for 45 seconds until your tandem master opens the parachute. Then, you float to the ground for a couple of minutes, surrounded by the purest landscape of New Zealand.
- Landing and return:
At the end of a skydive in Taupo, we will land gently on the airfield at Taupo Airport.
