Discover the coastline around the Cape Peninsula as we go sea kayaking in Cape Town. Enjoy amazing views of the city from the water and watch seals, dolphins and whales swim alongside you. Allow us to take you to parts of the coastline that are otherwise inaccessible and see hidden beaches and caves. Our tours are an absolute treat for outdoor adventurers and may well constitute the highlight of your stay in South Africa. As such, sea kayaking in Cape Town is on many visitors' bucket lists.
Tour programme
- Preparation:
When we go sea kayaking in Cape Town, we have several different meeting points, including Fishoek Beach and Mouille Point, depending on the route we choose to take. The decision is made on the basis of the day's weather conditions and we will inform you about the exact meeting point approximately 24h before the start. In any case, we will meet at the start time specified on your booking confirmation. There will be a short briefing after which you will receive your equipment. Once everyone is ready, we hop into our kayaks and head out to sea.
- Tour:
Our Kalkbay Harbour trail offers amazing views of False Bay in which sightings of seals, dolphins and whales are quite common.
The Chapmans Peak trail, on the other hand, takes you across water that is so clear you can see all the way to the bottom. Moreover, you will also discover hidden beaches and caves that remain unseen by many tourists.
The third route, our Table Bay Sunrise and Sunset trail, is absolutely iconic, as you're treated to incomparable views of Table Mountain, Cape Town stadium, the waterfront and the Atlantic seaboard. Some say this is hands-down the best way to see Cape Town, and indeed, we believe you will be in complete awe at the end of the tour. In addition, we frequently spot dolphins and whales while sea kayaking in Cape Town and the fact that we do the tours at sunrise or sunset make them even more spectacular.
- Arrival:
At the end of the tour, we return back to the beach that we started from.
