Bellyak Tour on the Savinja River

Try a new way of kayaking and go bellyaking! Savinja river offers great water conditions to bellyak already from 11 years old on. This way, this activity suits both friends and the whole families who enjoy spending time actively. Our experienced, licensed guides are close to you throughout the whole tour to make sure you can fully enjoy this fun experience. To use bellyak is very easy- you just put on fins, turn on your belly and are ready to paddle which makes it a unique perspective of kayaking. Tour programme - Preparation: Come to our base in Camp Menina 10 minutes before the booked time, where you meet your guide and receive the necessary equipment as well as safety instructions. You can leave your personal belongings in a safety locker in the base or leave them in the car with which we drive to the starting point of the kayaking tour. - Tour: The descent down the river takes about 1 to 1.5 hrs when you kayak and manoeuvre in the river streams with your guide in a small organized group. There is always a room to make a stop and swim if the river allows doing so. - Return: We drive you back to our base.

Tour facts - River: Savinja (Difficulty level: Class II-III) - Description: Savinja flows mostly in the Upper and Lower Savinja Valley and is the main river of the Savinja Alps. It contains 20 stunning waterfalls, the highest being in the Logar valley. Its water quality is described as first-class and its streams are suitable for people who have never kayaked before. - Route: Struge to Ljubno - Distance: 5-8 km - Total duration: 2-3 hrs - Time on the river: 1 h
