Tour programme
- Preparation:
Driving to Lake Okareka, you will pass by some breathtaking landscapes before arriving at the starting point. Once on the shore, the guide will get you ready for your Kayak Rotorua experience, and, after the introduction and safety instructions, you are ready to go. Even inexperienced participants will be able to kayak within 15 minutes.
- Tour:
Kayaking into the orange sunset while gliding across the lake searching for the glow worm caves is just the beginning. Once you enter one of the caves, you will be amazed by the galaxy-like atmosphere created by their lights. Heading back to the shore, if the weather conditions permit, you will be guided to a series of 3 other cave locations. Plus, if the sky is clear, you will have your breath taken away by the starry night sky.
- Return:
Once your kayak Rotorua adventure has ended, you are free to go back to Rotorua or enjoy the evening on the lakeshore.
