With Skydive Taupo you can discover the feeling of freefalling for up to 75 seconds above the beautiful landscape of the Great Lake Taupo!
The experienced skydive instructors of our centre will let you live a breathtaking and thrilling adventure in the New Zealand skies with our jumps between 12,000ft and 18,500ft. Thanks to our transfer service, you can enjoy skydive in Taupo even from Rotorua.
Programme- Meeting and preparation:
We offer a daily pick-up for you from Rotorua at 9 am. Once arrived at the airport, we will introduce you to your skydive master, our crew will explain to you what you are going to experience, give you a safety briefing and get you ready with the needed equipment. Once buckled up, let's board on our unique pink plane and start your new Skydive Taupo adventure!
- Flight and jump:
You are going to enjoy a 20 minutes scenic plane ride. During the flight, you will have a view on the Tongariro National Park, the Great Lake Taupo, from 18,500ft on a clear day you will be able to see both coasts of the North Island, Mount Taranaki, Napier and the Rotorua Lakes. Once you reach the right altitude, the plane doors will open and you will jump with your tandem master attached to you. During the freefall, you are going to reach speeds up to 200km/h and experience a unique fall between 45 and 75 seconds! At 5,000ft, the tandem master will then deploy the parachute!
- Landing and return:
After a parachute ride of about 5 minutes, the skydive master will ask you to lift your legs in order to land gently on the airfield of Taupo Airport. At the end of your skydive Taupo experience, we will drive you back to Rotorua around 2 pm.
