Programme
- Meeting and preparation:
We meet at our base in Sumner 30 minutes before the booked time from where we take a shuttle to Christchurch Airport. Once at the airport, after filling in some paperwork, you will get to know your tandem master who will give you a detailed briefing on what to expect, the safety measures and the usage of the equipment. All you have to do next is board the helicopter and enjoy the view!
- Flight and jump:
First, enjoy a scenic helicopter ride over Christchurch City with a stunning view of the coastline and the green landscape of the Canterbury region. Once we've reached the right altitude and the door opens, all you have to do is count to 3 and jump! Reaching speeds of 200km/h you will experience a freefall of 15 seconds until the tandem master deploys the parachute.
- Landing and return:
After a 5-minute scenic parachute flight, the tandem master will prepare for landing. You will gently land on Sumner Beach, in front of the Beach Bar and Cave Rock.
