Tandem Skydive in Wanaka - 15,000ft with Queenstown Transfer

Programme
- Meeting and preparation:
We offer a free shuttle bus service from Queenstown to Wanaka and back that runs twice a day. Pick-up is at 07:30 and at 1:00pm from the NZONE Skydive Office at 35 Shotover Street in Queenstown. The drive to our Wanaka dropzone takes approximately 1.5h. We kindly ask you to give us a call 30 minutes before the bus' departure time to confirm that we're running on time and to make sure the weather conditions allow for skydiving. At our dropzone, you will meet your tandem master who will brief you and help you get fitted in your jumpsuit and harness. You will also receive a hat, a pair of goggles and some gloves so that you're fully equipped for your skydive. Once you're ready, you will board the plane and take off for your 15-minute scenic flight up to your jump altitude.
- Flight and jump:
When the plane has reached the jump altitude of 15,000ft, you'll be strapped to your tandem master, the door will open and the two of you will leap into your adventure. After 60 seconds of free falling, during which you'll be high on adrenaline, your tandem master will deploy the parachute, thereby breaking your fall, and you'll spend another 4 to 5 minutes gliding gently towards the ground. Throughout the entire experience, you'll be able to enjoy fantastic views of the Otago region with it's towering mountains and deep blue lakes.
- Landing and return:
After landing safely at our dropzone, our shuttle bus will take you back to the initial pick-up location in Queenstown. Departures are at 11:30 am and at 05:30pm.
