You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.

You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.

Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.

Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.

Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.

These lessons are designed for advanced skiers who are looking for a new challenge on the slopes of the Stubai Glacier.

The experienced ski instructors form the groups according to the participants' skill level, so that everyone can benefit as much as possible.

You will meet your instructor 15 minutes before the start of the lesson at the top station Gamsgarten at the meeting place Olympia. Look out for orange-blue flags and instructors with blue jackets.

Depending on your existing skills, you will work on improving your technique. You can learn how to ski in a plough, make parallel turns or even how to carve.

The lessons take place on the Stubai Glacier, Austria's largest glacier ski resort in the Tyrolean mountains, with 35 slopes to discover.
