About the Activity

What to Expect

On the mountains, ready, set, go! Stubai glacier, the biggest glacier ski resort in Austria, is a fantastic spot for you to start adult ski lessons. Perfect for everyone who is seeking a thrilling new adventure, this area offers 35 slopes to explore and experience the amazing snow in the Tyrolean mountains. Let's kick off this exciting skiing adventure!

Surrounded by like-minded people having the same goal, you will be introduced to the world of skiing. Our well-experienced ski instructors form the group to benefit to a maximum extent. The group spirit is not just fun, it also keeps motivation high. You will learn to get familiar with the slopes and your equipment in no time. Perhaps some will be able to ski down the 10 km-long descent from Wildspitz to the valley station effortlessly.

Meeting Time

We meet 15 minutes before the start of the lesson at the top station Gamsgarten at the meeting place Olympia. Watch out for orange-blue flags and instructors with blue jackets.

Ski Pass

All skiers need a ski pass from the first day of the lessons. You can buy your ski pass at the ski lift ticket office or online before the first lesson.

Well organized, flexible

Unfortunately, the ski course I booked was not what I expected. We were a group of three participants and one ski instructor. I had specifically booked a beginner's course because I haven't been skiing for very long and therefore am not very good yet. Basically, the two-hour group lesson consisted of the ski instructor asking pointless rhetorical questions and reacting irritably if, in his opinion, we didn't answer adequately. He gave no instructions or methods for safe skiing and often skied ahead, so that we sometimes couldn't even see him. His motto was to follow him as quickly as possible. He was also often impatient at the lift, leaving others behind and frequently going ahead on the lift. He ignored my request to be a little more considerate and just did his own thing. I booked a course at a different school the next day and was much more satisfied. It's a real shame, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this course to beginners. ```
