The Dordogne is a paradise for canoeing and a canoe tour on the Vézère, the wildest river in the region, will prove it to you. This small 9 km descent from Les Eyzies, ideal to do with children for a sporting outing in contact with nature, with optional swimming breaks in the shade to prolong the pleasure. You will also enjoy an impressive natural setting full of history: a troglodytic site, high cliffs and a castle are the highlights of the descent for a perfectly relaxing day!
Tour programmePreparationWe meet you at
our base. A large, shaded car park awaits you there. Our team will welcome you, give you the equipment before boarding the shuttle that will take you to the departure point. No worries for beginners, a briefing on paddle handling and the route is done before departure.
TourComfortably seated in your canoe with backrest, the descent can begin. You will paddle for about 1.5 to 2hrs during which you will pass in turn in front of the
castle of Marzac, the site of the Madeleine, with its troglodytic dwellings in the rock, and the impressive
cliffs of the 7 brothers. You can also stop along the river for a break in the shade or a swim.
ReturnYou have no time limit for the descent. At the end of the descent, you will arrive at our base where you will find your vehicle. You can also enjoy our waterside snack bar or our brasserie on site.
