13km Kayak & Canoe on the Vézère by La Roque St-Christophe

The Vézère is a river full of surprises, which is ideally discovered from the water. This 13-km canoe descent from Les Eyzies will make you encounter the historical and natural heritage of this wild river emblematic of the Black Perigord. You will start the circuit at La Roque Saint-Christophe, the largest troglodytic site in Europe and will be able to admire along the way other habitats in the cliffs as well as castles. In family or with friends, easily accessible with young children, this sportive outing also promises nice moments of relaxation and swimming steepest part of the river.

Tour programme
- Preparation:
We meet you at our base 30 minutes before the booked time. A large shaded car park awaits you there. Our team will welcome you, give you the equipment before boarding the shuttle that will take you to the departure point. No worries for beginners, a briefing on paddle handling and the route is done before departure.
- Tour:
Comfortably seated in your canoe with backrest, the descent can begin. You will paddle for about 2.5 to 3 hours from La Roque Saint-Christophe before passing the strange Maison Forte de Reignac built directly in the rock, the castle of Marzac or the impressive cliffs of the 7 brothers. You can also stop along the river for a break in the shade or a swim.
- Return:
You have no time limit for the descent. At the end of the descent, you will arrive at our base where you will find your vehicle. You can also enjoy our waterside snack bar or our brasserie on site.
