Tour programme
- Preparation:
We provide a complimentary pick-up service from accommodations in Porto. Pick up is approximately at 08:30 am but you will receive more detailed information about the exact pick-up time via email, by the latest on the day before the tour. Our groups typically consist of 5 to 6 people per guide. The drive from Porto to the national park take approximately 1h 30min.
- Tour:
Once we arrive at the national park, we will start the tour, during which we will alternate between hiking and kayaking in order to get the most out of our visit and explore all the hidden gems of the Gerês National Park. When kayaking, we will paddle across the pristine waters of the Caniçada reservoir. Furthermore, we will visit an ancient village of Fafiao and stop at a local restaurant for lunch where you can enjoy a traditional Portuguese meal and a stunning panoramic view. In the afternoon, we will also visit an impressive waterfall with a beautiful lagoon where you can relax and go for a swim.
- Return:
All in all, we will spend around 9 to 10 hours together, after which time you will be dropped off back in Porto.
