We meet at the arrival of the intermediate station of the Ronchi-Valbona gondola lift, in front of the Chalet Valbona.
My son started as a first-timer, and on day 5 finished riding a big slope independently. Great work from his coach Francesco, who was friendly and supportive.
Children are divided by age and level, and if the level set by the parent isn't the right one, the child is moved to a more suitable group! My daughter, despite not being entirely convinced the first few days, found that teacher Matteo was able to engage her and make her have a lot of fun! Kudos to the teacher!
Maestri di Sci Moena is a perfect ski school with a lot of professional and kind trainers. My younger son was trained by trainer Desiree (I hope I spelled correct) and he learned a lot and he was very happy. Desiree was very patient with all of kids in the group.
You should wear warm clothing suitable for winter sports. Other accessories such as gloves, a ski mask and sunglasses are strongly recommended.
You must arrive at the first lesson with your equipment (skis and poles or snowboard, and boots). If you do not have your own equipment, make sure to allow enough time to collect it from the rental shop so as not to delay the start of the lesson. Some shops even offer the option of collecting equipment the day before your first day of hire.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children in some countries, but it is strongly recommended for everyone, regardless of age.
Unless otherwise stated, you must have your ski pass with you for the first lesson. You can usually buy one at the ski lift office or online. Discounted rates may be available for children or beginners, so check with your ski school to find out which pass is most suitable.
Generally, it is advisable to book lessons as early as possible. This is especially important during school holidays, such as Christmas and February, when lessons can fill up quickly.
The groups are made up of a maximum of 10 children.
On the first day, the meeting point is at the arrival of the intermediate station of the Ronchi-Valbona gondola lift, in front of the Chalet Valbona.
If you book a course that includes supervision, a delicious lunch is included. Alternatively, you can book without supervision and pick up your children for the lunch break.
First-timers do not need a ski pass on the first day to get to the meeting point. Afterwards, they will need to buy a voucher with points.
The group courses are guaranteed for a minimum of 5 participants. If this number is not reached, the guaranteed hours will be adjusted.
