PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Saint-Raphaël Bay

During your holiday on the French Riviera, we offer the PADI Discover Scuba Diving course which will make your stay memorable and perhaps spark a new hobby. The PADI training allows novices to acquire the basics of diving quickly. A unique experience in the Mediterranean sea awaits you, during a one-on-one underwater session with your certified instructor who will give you confidence and make this first diving experience interesting and fun.

Dive Areas
We take you to an island of the bay of Saint-Raphaël, depending on the weather conditions. Both spots are red rock islands characteristic of the Estérel massif which offers fabulous marine and terrestrial landscapes because of their preserved environment. Both spots are suitable for a first dive in the sea because of their shallow depths.
Île d'Or island is located opposite the pebble beach of Dramont, one of the beaches of the American landing in Provence. This diving spot is close to the shore, and faces a rare blue magmatic pebble beach offering you an exceptional view with unique contrasts.
Lion de Mer island is sheltered from the wind. Underwater, you can admire the flowering corals on the walls as well as two underwater statues: the Virgin and the Mermaid.

Programme
We will meet you directly at the campsite "La plage d'Argens" where our base is located at the agreed time, to register you and have you fill in the necessary documents, including the PADI medical declaration. Once you have been provided with your equipment and put on, your instructor will give you a briefing and the safety instructions.

You will start with a pool dive at our base to familiarise yourself with the initial handling and equipment. You will learn how enter in the water, how to breath and swim underwater. After 2 hours practise in the pool, we will then accompany you to the boat at the port of Fréjus to take you to the planned dive spot depending on the wind. There, you will dive from 6 to 12 m during 45 min one on one with an instructor who will guide you and give you explanations beforehand.
Our boat can accommodate up to 22 people, we will therefore stay at the dive site for few hours depending of the number of participants. Before or after your tour, your companions will dive successively in the water. In that time you can snorkel thanks to the snorkeling equipment at your disposal or just enjoy the sun on the boat to complement your outing.
At the end of the activity, we will navigate back to Fréjus and go back to the base.
