Details
Come and explore the Ionian and Adriatic coasts of Puglia on our boat trip to the Salento caves with aperitif! Starting from Torre Vado and heading south, we'll pass beautiful beaches and low cliffs. We will also admire what was once a coastal tower, Marina di San Gregorio, a true pearl of Salento.
Our first swimming stop is in a small gulf with crystal-clear waters before we visit our first cave, the Grotta del Drago. Continuing on towards Punta Ristola, the southernmost point of Puglia, we will admire dozens of other caves, including the Grotta dei Giganti, the Grotta delle Tre Porte, the most famous, and the Grotta del Fiume.
Throughout the trip, the crew will tell you about the history and curiosities of this region. Moving on to the Adriatic coast, you'll pass Santa Maria di Leuca, its lighthouse and famous Monumental Staircase, from which an amazing fountain is sometimes operated. This is a popular stop, as it joins two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic, and you can often see the dividing line. From here, you will notice how the coastline gets higher and higher, reaching a height of 30 metres. On this side, too, there are dozens of caves, including Grotta di Terradico, Grotta Verdusella and Grotta dell'Ortocupo. In this area we will stop again to swim and, on the return journey, you can enjoy an excellent typical Apulian aperitif.
