How about an unusual excursion combining sport and science? Then this classic caving tour in South Ardèche is perfect for you! You will learn the geological history of the region while discovering the Ardèche underground. During this beginner-friendly caving tour, you will sneak into small passages, crawl and abseil down. You will have the opportunity to visit several sites in the region, including the Combes cave in Bannes, the Peyroche cave in Saint Alban Auriolles and the Champclos cave in Naves. So what are you waiting for to launch yourself into this adventure?
Tour programme- Preparation:
We will meet you 15 minutes in advance at the base. Once the group is formed, we will all go together to the cave (15 minutes drive with your own vehicle to reach a cave). The cave will be chosen by the instructor according to the level of the group and the weather. For the half-day activity 1h30 will be spent in the cave and for the full-day activity 3h30 will be spent in the cave with time for a picnic. A walk of around 10 minutes to reach the cave and to return back will always be necessary.
- Tour:
You will enjoy a half or full-day excursion in one of the caves with your group of 8 participants maximum and your qualified instructor. Narrow passages and abseils are on the program!
- Return:
Once the tour is over, we will head to the car park for you to pick up your vehicle.
