Join us on this day trip to Saranda and Butrint National Park and enjoy the magical history of Albania! We depart from the main port of Corfu and directly set course to Saranda. After a quick passport control, we will board the bus and leave the port behind.
After a guided bus tour of around 30 minutes, we will arrive at the breathtaking UNESCO World Heritage Site of Butrint. A professional guide will give you a tour through the Venetian tower and the remains of the theatre and Temple of Asclepius. You will also get to explore the ancient gymnasium, the Roman Baths and you will see the gorgeous mosaic of the Baptistery. The tour ends on the Cyclopean walls, where you will have a panoramic view of the lake and its surrounding nature.
Afterwards, we will go back to Saranda for a delicious buffet-style lunch. Here you will also have 1.5 hours of free time to stroll around the city. Late in the afternoon, we will return to the boat and take you back to Corfu.

This excursion is easy to take from Corfu. I recommend it to anyone interested in archaeology; Butrint may still yield new discoveries, and what's there, especially Greek artifacts, combined with the guide's professionalism, makes it worth a visit. Sarand is another story; there's no time for swimming, and it's quite unattractive, like Marbella—very touristy. The worst part is the time lost going to and from passport control.
