The Argens is a peaceful river in the hinterland of Fréjus that can be discovered leiseruly on a kayak or canoe. This 4-km tour is ideal for families with young children or all nature lovers who want to spend 2 hours in a green setting, classified as Natura 2000. The slow current makes it very easy to paddle up to a small island, which invites you to take a refreshing break in the middle of a wild scenery.
Tour programme- Preparation:We meet
at our base in Fréjus at the booked time. A free car park is available on site. Once your equipment has been handed over and your canoe launched, you leave directly from our base.
- Tour:The route is a 4-km round trip. You will start by paddling 2 km upstream. The lack of current and rapids makes paddling very easy. You can take advantage of the moment to try and spot the river's inhabitants: parakeets, herons, kingfishers, coypu... Then, you will arrive on a small island near a dam, perfect for a break after the effort. Children will love watching the fish and collecting shells, while adults relax in this picturesque setting. Then it's time to head back.
- Return:After 2 km, you are back at the base. Here, picnic tables and deckchairs by the water are waiting for you, so that you can continue to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Argens river.
