6km Kayak & Canoe Hire on the Tarn River - Discovery Tour

Take your children on an adventure they won't soon forget! Our 6 km kayak and canoe hire on the Tarn river is ideal for families with young children. This peaceful trip will allow you to discover the magnificent Tarn Gorges. In a wild setting, paddle at your own pace and pass authentic villages and the Peyrelade Castle, which will take you back in time. So that you can make this special moment last with your loved ones, you can keep the canoe until the end of the day.

Tour programme
- Preparation:
The meeting point is directly at our base in Mostuéjouls, 20 minutes before the booked time (in April and May, we meet at the B&B Le Soleilo, in the centre of the village). There, your equipment will be provided (life jacket, waterproof container, canoe and paddle). Afterwards, a short initiation on the use of your equipment will be given.
- Tour:
Once in your canoe, you will first pass the village of Liaucous and admire the cliffs of Sauveterre in the background. Then you will discover the authentic village of Mostuéjouls from the water. You will paddle along the village of Boyne, which is overlooked by the Peyrelade Castle, a medieval fortress from the XIIᵉ century. Finally, you will finish your canoeing trip in the village of Rivière-sur-Tarn where you will be picked up. Throughout the adventure, you can stop at one of the river's beaches for a swim or a picnic.
- Return:
When your journey is over, you can contact us so that we can take you back to the base, where your vehicle is waiting (last shuttle: 6 pm).
