Beneath the surface of the Adriatic Sea lie some wonders! With our SSI Open Water Diver courses in Split for beginners, you will get the required autonomy to explore a brand-new world underwater with a guide, and discover the fascinating scenery of the depth.
Made for everyone, these courses, composed of 6 dives and some theoretical contents, are the best way to begin a life-long adventure as a certified scuba-diver. With this complete training, you will be able to dive safely, to react to specific situations, and to manage your equipment.
The SSI Open Water Dives Course qualifies you to: - Dive to a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet - Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy - Rent or buy diving equipment worldwide
Programme - eLearning: You will receive all the theoretical material for online training and get your account ID. Then you will be able to study on your device and at your own pace. The content of these courses is made of the basic principles and procedures of diving. - Kick-off: We meet at our base at 9 am. It can be difficult to find parking here, so we recommend arriving early, or taking a taxi. We will start with trying the equipment in order to find the one which fits you perfectly. The courses are split into two parts. You will start first with some confined water dives in the shallow waters of the lagoon. There, your instructor will lead you through a series of skill exercises. Once you have passed these, you will go on with two open water dives at one of our dive site nearby the islands.
Course content - Theory lessons - 6 practice dives in confined water/in open water
Included services - Certified SSI diving instructor - High-quality diving gear (all you need for your dive: wetsuit, mask, fins, octopus, weights) - Scuba tank (200 Bar for all dives) - E-Learning material - SSI registration fee & certificate - Photos/Video
Requirements - Minimum age: 12 years - Physical health - Swimming ability - If you wear prescription glasses, you need to be comfortable wearing contact lenses - This activity is not suitable for pregnant women - Understand and speak English
