PADI Open Water Diver Course in Chania for Beginners

Become a certified diver with our PADI Open Water Diver course in Chania. It will give you the opportunity to dive up to 18 m and access the most famous dive spots in Crete, such as the Elephant Cave!

Accessible to everyone from 10 years oof age and upwards, the course is divided into two parts: First, a theoretical part that you can either do at home by eLearning, or by attending our courses on site. Then, the fun can finally begin with a total of 9 dives! 5 of them will be done in the pool, to get you used to breathing and communication underwater. The rest of the dives will be done in the sea, in one of our great dive sites on the Cretan coast.

Indeed, by diving in the Cretan Sea, you will eyperience crystal clear waters and have the opportunity to observe typical Mediterranean species such as the Sea Bream, the European Anchovy and the Red Mullet. Programme
- eLearning:
After the booking, we will email you the details of how to access the online study programme. You can take the course at your own pace, but you must complete it before your course start date. You can then move straight on to the practical part of your scuba diving experience.
- On-site theory lecture:
If you decide to join our one-site theroy sessions, you will learn all about scuba diving theory in our dedicated classrooms at the dive centre with one of our PADI certified instructors. Please note, that the duration of the course is then 4 days, instead of 3.
- Kick-off:
We meet at our base in Almyrida. Our base has a private car park. On request, we can also arrange free transfers from your hotel in the Chania area. Afterwards we will provide you with your equipment and you can change in our changing rooms. You can also leave your personal belongings in the lockers we provide. The first 5 training dives will be in the pool at our partner hotel. Then, when you are comfortable in the pool, we will go head out to sea for further training.
