You have always been interested in the secrets hidden beneath the ocean, and excited by the adventure that diving represents? Then it is time to answer to the call of the sea, and become a certified Open Water Diver. Our courses in Anissaras are made for the beginners who want to learn more about scuba diving. After 4 days of intensive training, you will be able to join supervised diving excursions with any dive centre around the world, and dive to a depth of 18 metres alongside a buddy. This is the first step in what could be a long line of diving education programmes.
The PADI Open Water Diver is made of a theoretical part that you will study by yourself via different e-learning sessions. With us, you will have to apply what you have learned by performing confined water dives in the sheltered waters of the Anissaras Beach, before jumping in at the deep end with four open water dives under the supervision of our instructors.
Each dive area is reachable by a 5-to-8-min boat trip, and you will have the opportunity to discover the beautiful reefs of Crete, some mystical underwater caves, and spot the fascinating marine wildlife.
The PADI Open Water Diver Course qualifies you to:
- Dive to a maximum depth of 18 metres/60 feet
- Plan and execute dives with a certified buddy
- Rent or buy diving equipment worldwide
Programme- e-Learning:
After having placed your booking, you will receive the access details to the online study programme that you have to complete before the 3rd open water dive. This way, you will be able to learn on your own device and at your own pace. The content of these courses is made of the basic principles and procedures of diving.
- Kick-off:
We meet at our base at 9:00 am to fill out the paperwork, complete the PADI Medical Statement, and talk a bit about your expectations, and how do you feel about the courses, and the e-learning. For the practical diving sessions, we will provide you with all the equipment. Afterwards, the exact schedule of your course is set individually, based on your progress and on how much time you have to spare during the following days.
