Private Surf Lessons (from 8 y.) near Lagos

Private surf lessons are our most favourite way to teach surfing whilst enjoying the beautiful landscapes of the Algarve. The lessons are tailored and adapted to your ability and your level, along with finding the best conditions and the best locations to suit you and your expectations. For two hours, our qualified instructors will push you to your best and closely monitor your technique and your skills, in order to sustain your progress. Our ambition is to show you that surfing goes beyond a lifestyle and a hobby, and can bring much more to your mind and your body.

Meeting & Preparation
We will pick you up in Lagos, at Jah Shaka Surf Shop, at the time agreed with you the night before. We are completely flexible, but we would be glad to recommend you a time when the conditions are the best for a surf lesson. All the required equipment (board, wetsuits, etc.) would be already prepared in our van. You will just have to hop in. We have a maximum travel time of 30 min. Once arrived at the beach, we will change and prepare ourselves. Our instructors will also talk you through a quick briefing before beginning the warm-up. The whole lesson, with the pick-up and the preparation included, last approximately 4 hours; the actual lesson, in the water, lasts 2 hours.

Surfing beginners at our school are typically able to:
- After 1 day: perform the basics, such as paddling and taking off
- After 5 days: catch different types of waves by themselves
Please note that everyone's learning progress is different as some people learn quicker than others.
