If you're curious whether scuba diving could be something for you, our trial scuba diving near Santa Maria Navarrese is what you're looking for! You will have the chance to dive with our certified guide, who will be helping you the whole time. This is a great way to learn the basics of this sport while exploring the bustling marine wildlife off the coast of Baunei. If you're 8 or older, you can experience for the first time what it feels like to breathe underwater and experience weightlessness while being completely safe thanks to the continuous support of our instructor.
Dive area
Located on the east coast of Sardinia, our diving centre is familiar with multiple diving sites that are suitable for a trial dive and are only 15 minutes of navigation away. Our instructor will choose in the morning which diving spot we will dive into, depending on weather and currents. The area's rich biodiversity will allow you to observe colourful fish, sponges, crabs, octopuses, and many other species from very little distance.
Programme
We meet at our office at the port of Santa Maria Navarrese 30 minutes before the scheduled time. If you arrive by car, you can use the free car park in via Arala 5, only a few minutes on foot from our office. You will meet our certified scuba diving guide, who will give you all the equipment required. We start with a brief theoretical lesson to introduce you to the equipment and the main diving rules. Then, in a group of maximum 12 people, you will board our RIB and reach the diving spot. After putting on the equipment, each participant will have a 1:1 dive with the instructor for 20 minutes. You will start by floating in the water for a couple of minutes to familiarize yourself with the environment, and once you feel comfortable enough, you can begin a slow descent to a maximum depth of 7 metres (2 metres for kids under 10 years old). The return to our office is scheduled between 6 and 6.30 pm, and on the way back you can enjoy the snacks and soft drinks we have available on board for you.
