Explore the beauty of Croatia's nature on our boat trip to Lim Fjord! We depart from Valdibora and spend 40 minutes on the sea, during which you can relax with a drink in your hand, while listening to the waves hitting the wooden sides of the boat. This unique boat trip is one of the few that will take you to the very end of the Lim Fjord!
We will then reach the Pirate Cave, here you can wander around and visit the café located inside the cave itself, before getting back on the boat. When your feet get tired, you can lay on the beach and enjoy a dip in the clear water, or take a seat at one of the many traditional restaurants. After 90 minutes of free time, we will once again board the boat and take you back to Rovinj.
Fantastic magnificent places, very kind and very professional group. We also saw dolphins 🐬

From the beach we always saw the boats heading towards Lim Fjord. We wanted to try that out too. At first we thought about going on one of the many "pirate boats". Luckily we didn't get a place there and came across Tonka Rovinj. Booking via checkyeti was super easy. We quickly found the boat in the harbor and we were given a very friendly welcome. It is a relatively small boat, not like the other tourist boats with tons of passengers (there were maybe 20 of us in total). But still enough space for everyone. In the back of the boat there are benches and tables, all of which are covered and therefore provide plenty of shade. The front of the boat offers more space to sit (without tables) and is also covered in shade. A staircase leads to the upper deck where you can bask in the sun (there is no shade here). There is also a clean toilet on the boat. So you don't have to keep your butt above water ;-) Off we went and sailed out of the port of Rovinj into the sea. First the captain gave us a drink - Fanta, water or white wine. During the trip he sat down with us and explained facts about the church of Rovinj, the offshore islands, the beaches, the mussel farming in the fjord and everything else we encountered on our trip or had questions about. He told us the whole thing in German and English and since the passengers were spread out at the front and back, he told us twice. The first stop was at the beginning of the Lim Fjord at a "pirate cave - Romuald's cave". Here we could either visit the cave and the observation tower (contribution to expenses €1 including postcard) and have a drink or go swimming. The stay was about 45 minutes. What we noticed here: The "pirate boats" described above also came here, but did not dock, but turned around after a short time and drove back the same route. This means that they did not actually travel the main part of the Lim Fjord. After our stay at the pirate's nest, our tour continued into the Lim Fjord, which we actually drove through to the end point. A beautiful landscape spreads out to the left and right of the river. Here too, the captain had a lot to tell and there was time for a private chat or two with him. When you arrive at the end of the fjord, you can disembark for about 90 minutes and enjoy the fresh mussels from the adjacent mussel farm in the restaurant (which we personally did not do). The prices for the mussels are a lot cheaper here than around Rovinj and the goods are practically freshly caught due to the short distance. So we sat down in the deck chairs at the beach bar, enjoyed a spritz and jumped into the fjord to swim. After this stop we went back to Rovinj without stopping any further, but with a little nightcap (liquor from the captain). Drinks can also be bought on board. So you don't have to go thirsty. All in all it was a wonderful, varied and informative tour that we can definitely recommend 100%!!! One more thing on our own behalf: Boat Excursions Tonka also offers sundowner tours on which you can also meet dolphins :-)
