This guided boat tour along the volcanic islands is highly recommended by reviewers, with about half giving it a five-star rating. Guests consistently praise the stunning landscape and the "Beautiful boat trip" itself. The crew receives high marks, especially the knowledgeable guides providing commentary in multiple languages. While a few reviewers wished the stops were a little longer, the chance to see dolphins was a major highlight for some. Overall, this is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy a pleasant day exploring the coast.

The boat trip from Tropea to the Aeolian Islands (Vulcano, Lipari, and a passage past Stromboli) was generally fine. The price-performance ratio was good. Coffee, croissants, and drinks were offered on board at reasonable prices. However, the stop on Vulcano was only about two hours. That wasn't enough time to explore the island thoroughly. The black sand beaches are typical of the volcanic island and certainly a matter of taste – we found them rather uninviting. A visit to the sulfur baths (approx. €25) is recommended instead, but you should definitely plan on taking a good shower afterward. We weren't as impressed with the areas accessible on foot: While there are a few cafes and restaurants, most of the surfaces are paved. Especially in the heat, there was a lack of shade and seating. The stay on Lipari was much more pleasant. Here, we had ample time to stroll through the old town, enjoy a leisurely lunch, and have a coffee. The highlight of the trip for us was the return journey, passing by the still-active Stromboli volcano, whose smoking vent is truly impressive. Overall, a solid day trip with good value for money. However, anyone wanting to explore the island of Vulcano more thoroughly should plan a separate visit.
Beautiful boat trip along the volcanic islands! We encountered two groups of dolphins, during which the captain briefly turned the boat around so the dolphins could play in the waves, allowing us to beautifully witness this spectacle.
