Explore the mysterious underwater world with our PADI Discover Scuba Diving course in Paphos! If you've always been fascinated by this extraordinary sport, now is your chance to try it out with one of our trained instructors. This half-day programme is perfect for beginners from the age of 10. You will dive in the Mediterranean Sea to a depth of up to 6 metres and learn the basics of diving. To guarantee maximum safety, a PADI instructor will be at your side the whole time and will supervise no more than 4 people, ensuring a personalised experience.
And if you want more, we also offer options with one or two guided dives, in addition to the Discover Scuba Diving course, so that you can continue your discovery of the ocean floor. Please note, however, that these exploration dives do not count as an additional certification, and cannot be deducted if you wish to do the Open Water course later. Dive area
Diving takes place at the Roman Wall, our house reef, which is within walking distance of our dive centre. From the beach, we go into the water and discover the marine life of Cyprus. In very good conditions, usually between May and October, even green turtles can be seen. Octopuses, cuttlefish and trumpetfish also call the Roman Wall their home. Programme
We meet at our dive centre in Paphos (free car park available). Before we walk to the sea to dive, we go through several briefings. Prior to the start of the program, you will complete the Discover scuba diving eLearning. You will learn everything about equalizing your air spaces, how the scuba diving equipment works and about the underwater world. The eLearning only takes about 20 minutes to complete and will give you an insight into the things you will be doing! To test the diving equipment for the first time, you will practice in the pool of the diving centre. Once you feel confident in your diving gear, we will head out together to the Roman Wall, where you will experience your first dive in the Mediterranean Sea.
If you have booked one of the options with the exploration dives, you can either decide to do them on the same day, or you can do the additional dives up to 7 days after your PADI Discover Scuba Diving course.Included services

The activity PADI Discover Scuba Diving in Paphos by Cydive Paphos is available every day except Sunday, from August 2, 2026 through October 31, 2026.
